Ancillary Task 2 Inspiration

For the 2nd ancillary task we need to create a double page spread for our documantary. After looking at one of the previous years tasks I decided it would be a good idea to have the spread as an interview of the cast members, as well as having pictures of the cast.

To get a better idea of what the spread should look like and what questions the cast should be asked I started looking at magazine interviews of cast members from famous shows or films. For example this double page spread of Matt Smiths début as the Doctor.

Here I can see that the main feature of the spread is the large picture, rather than the small amount of writing, which are in columns, and used as captions of the pictures. What the cast said has also been written rather than reworded.

However unlike the other two this spread consists mainly of text with only one large image and one smaller image. In this interview the actors are asked things along the lines of "What was it like working with the other actors and the director?" "What was your favourite moment?", etc.

Ancillary Task 1 Inspiration

For our 1st ancillary task we were asked to create an advertisement for a newspaper on our documentary. Our initial idea was to create an article that summarises what our documentary is about, however we then decided instead to create an intersesting poster with short reviews on it. Once we decided on what we were going to create, we then researched different film and documentary posters tha twe could take inspiration from.

We quite liked the idea of using a group photo of the characters and then adding the reviews around it. We would have have some props in the background to make it more interesting.
